A long wait and much frustration is now over for owners of older Mac Pro’s. Apple has just released NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (1st Generation) Graphics Upgrade Kit for Mac Pro.
The new NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (1st Generation) Graphics Upgrade Kit for Mac Pro 512MB of dedicated GDDR3 memory, uses the PCI Express interface, and includes two dual-link DVI ports. The new card requires a Mac Pro (bus speed 1.33GHz) with PCI-Express and includes a DVI to VGA connector for easy connection to VGA-based displays. The card sells for 279 dollars from Apple Store.
